Our professional Veterinarians
Wynnum Manly Vet Hospital is a member of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) as well as the Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association (ASAVA). We have four very experienced and qualified veterinarians on staff whose great love of animals shows through in everything they do.

Dr Nicole Thomas
BVSc (Hons)
Veterinarian & Practice Owner
Dr Nicky graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2001. She spent the first three years of her career working in a small animal hospital in Bundaberg before joining Wynnum Manly Veterinary Hospital in 2005. Dr Nicky’s interests include canine medicine and senior care. Dr Nicky and her husband have 2 children and a miniature Labradoodle named Poppy. Dr Nicky loves reading, cooking and going on walks with her family.

Dr Charlotte Brace
BVSc
Veterinarian & Practice Owner
Dr Charli graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2008. She returned home to England where she worked in small animal practice before relocating to Australia in 2012. Dr Charli has a special interest in feline medicine and surgery and soft tissue surgery. Dr Charli and her husband have three children, two dogs, three cats and two guinea pigs. Dr Charli likes to spend time with her family and enjoys running.

Dr Steven Conwell
BVSc (Hons)
Veterinarian & Practice Owner
Dr Steven graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2002. He worked in small animal practice in and around Brisbane before travelling to the UK where he lived and worked for 8 years. On returning to Australia Dr Steven worked as a locum vet before joining Wynnum Manly Veterinary Hospital in 2014. Dr Steven has a special interest in orthopaedic surgery and ultrasonography. Dr Steven and his wife have two sons and share their home with two dogs and a cat. Dr Steven enjoys exercise and playing the piano.

Dr Claire Kitson

Veterinarian
Dr Claire graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2015. She worked in small animal practice in Brisbane and the UK before joining the team at WMVH in 2021. Dr Claire has advanced training in ultrasonography and enjoys small animal medicine. Dr Claire and her fiancé have a rescue Staffy X named Luna. Dr Claire loves to travel and see new places.

Kathryn Fitzgibbon

Veterinary nurse
Kathryn is our senior nurse and has been nursing since 1999. Kathryn joined WMVH in 2009 and has a special interest in surgical and anaesthetic nursing. Kathryn and her husband have 2 daughters, 3 cats and many budgies. Kathryn loves to relax and watch movies.

Kristie Philippe

Veterinary Technician
Kristie graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology in 2016 and in 2019 completed a Bachelor of Equine Science. Kristie has been nursing at WMVH since 2016 and is one of our Puppy Preschool instructors. Kristie has two cats and when she is not working loves spending time at the beach.

Teagan Conduit
Reception Nurse
Teagan is our dedicated reception nurse and has been with us since 2013. She loves interacting with clients and their pets and is the first point of contact for many people visiting our hospital. Teagan and her partner share their home with their son, two Border Collies, a Corgi X and two rescue cats. Teagan enjoys spending time at the beach with her family.

Abbey Dickson

Veterinary Nurse
Abbey has been a vet nurse since 2016 and has worked at WMVH since 2020. Abbey has completed a physical therapy course through the Australian College of Veterinary Nursing and is one of our Puppy Preschool instructors. Abbey has a pet cockatiel named Kennedy and a Labrador called Rosie. When she’s not at work, Abbey likes spending time outdoors, especially swimming in the ocean.

Antonya Raines

Veterinary Nurse
Antonya has been a vet nurse for 2 years and started at WMVH in 2020. Antonya enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing. Antonya has three cats and when she is at home she enjoys listening to music and relaxing with friends.

Josie Greaves
BVetTech
Veterinary Technician
Josie graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology in 2021. Josie joined our team in 2019 and divides her working time between WMVH and the RSPCA wildlife hospital. Josie has an American Staffy and a cockatiel named Drumstick. Josie loves spending time at the beach.

Charm Weston
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Charm is our vet nurse in training and has been with us since 2021. She is currently working towards completing her veterinary nursing qualifications. Charm has a host of pets including two rats, a cat, two dogs and a horse. Charm loves spending time with her animals and enjoying nature.

Noel Sheehan
Cert IV Veterinary Nursing
Veterinary Nurse
Noel has worked at WMVH forever and is our dedicated Sunday nurse. Noel has many years of nursing experience obtained at practices all over Brisbane and the surrounding suburbs. Outside of work Noel enjoys fishing and lawn bowls.
